Translator / Bilingual Secretary
- In-house translator and bilingual secretary at a Japanese manufacturer.
- This position starts in mid-September, 2010 and is ongoing.
- Main responsibilities include:
- Translating machine manuals, emails, faxes, company brochures, etc. (both from Japanese to English and English to Japanese).
- Assisting staff with any work that involves English (for example interpreting during meetings with foreign visitors)
- Teaching English to company employees -- one hour lesson on Monday and Wednesday
- Requirements:
- Must live within commuting distance of Miyoshi City
- Native English speaker
- High level of spoken and written Japanese (at least equivalent to JLPT level 2)
- Previous translation experience would be an asset but is not required
- Work hours:
- Monday from 13:00 to 18:40
- Wednesday from 13:00 to 18:40
- Friday from 13:00 to 17:45
*Hours/days can be flexible
- Reimbursement:
- 3500 yen per hour + transportation fees.
