Need a good Mac OSR
Submitted by Albany58 on 1 April 2010 - 4:14am. Site chatAny Mac users who can tell me what OCR they use? Especially one for transforming PDFs into Word files. I've got PDF2Word which converts them well, but it makes image files and they have to be turned into clean text. Need a good OCR (I'm using OS 10.5.8 and MS Word 2004).
Dragon NaturallySpeaking preferred version
Submitted by usha_j on 13 September 2009 - 3:37am. Site chatHi there,
I've been planning to buy a good speech recognition software for working on long reports, and wondered what fellow honyakkers had to say regarding what's out there in the market. Amazon.com offers the Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred version for US$150, but I thought I'd confirm that I won't be left with a typo-filled page of gibberish needing extensive editing before I put the money down. The comments on Amazon are mixed at best, which doesn't make it easy.
Your thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
watarihaisen
Submitted by Ken Williams on 1 April 2008 - 7:33am. Site chatJ Wikipedia has a definition of "watarihaisen" and the term is widely used, but I cannot find an English equivalent anywhere. I'm working on a kokai relating to comm between A/C units and a remote. Thanks for any enlightenment.
Ken
