Conference interpreter/translator/consultant to U.S. and Japanese businesses, educational institutions, court systems and governments. Started out as an occasional interpreter/translator (1978- Tokyo), then a Ph. D. student in comparative literature (1984-90, Michigan), did a stint as a full-time lecturer in Japanese and oriental classics (1990-94, MSU), and became independent in 1996. Lots of OJT in manufacturing industry. Also volunteer as lecturer/demonstrator of Japanese tea ceremony at Univ.of Michian Museum of Art and other museums, arts centers, etc., in the Midwest.
